The primary ingredient of Sweetened Bean Sauce is a soy paste that has been slow fermented in the sun for one year. This is carefully heated with lightly fermented garlic and Chinese plums. Our sauce has a distinctive sweet-savouriness that is enhanced by the aroma and texture of sesame grains, a flavor that is suited for stir frying or roasting dishes that calls for complimenting sweetness: stir fry diced pork or chicken, roasted prawns etc..The sauce is also used as a dip for rice flour rolls, radish cakes, peking duck, noodles and pancake fillings.
