Spiced Sliced Beef (Serve 4 to 5)
750g Shin of beef (whole)
3 tbsp Pat Chun Gourmet Light Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Pat Chun Gourmet Dark Soy Sauce
2 pieces Anise
1 tsp Szechwan Peppercorn
1 tsp Fennel Seed
Small piece Cinnamon ( ½ inch length)
2 tsp Sugar
2 tsp Pat Chun Bean Paste Supreme
1 tbsp Pat Chun Chinese Wine
2 tsp Ginger (minced)
2 tsp Shallots (minced)
1 tbsp Cooking oil
3 cup Water
1. Blanch beef in boiling water. Remove and dry.
2. Fry ginger and shallots and bean paste with oil.
3. Add water or enough to cover the beef and the rest of the ingredients and boil.
4. When boiled add beef.
5. Simmer for 2 hours.
6. Remove beef and cool.
7. Cut into thin slices.
